Ask A Doctor – Chronic Pain And CBD – Thursday 7th December – 1pm EST

CBD Testers Ask A Doctor
Written by Corre Addam

This week’s ‘Ask a Doctor’ session is an extra special one, which comes to you following the Facebook poll we carried out. A majority of our community members said they wanted to learn more about treating chronic pain issues with CBD, and what the best way to do that is.

Dr Zachar’s intro for this week’s discussion:

“Pain is now considered the “5th vital sign” after temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory rate. According to an ABC news poll, 19% of adults in the U.S.A. suffer from chronic pain. Chronic pain is frustratingly hard to treat and opioids, which are highly addictive, are often used. CBD is a safe, effective, and non-addictive alternative.”

Questions to be answered and discussed:

  • What is pain?
  • What is the difference between opioids and CBD in the treatment of pain?
  • How can CBD work, yet be non-addictive?
  • What kind of pain can CBD control?
