The Top 5 CBD Products For Spring 2018

Written by Alexandra Hicks

Thankfully, we live in a day and age where we’re never at a loss for new cannabidiol products. Nearly any product you know and love, has a cannabis-infused doppelganger available somewhere.

Whether you’re looking for an innovative new medical product, or just a relaxing way to get your daily dose of cannabidiol, you luckily won’t have to look very far. Below we have a list of some of the top CBD products that are making waves this spring. If you have anything you’d like to add to the list, feel free to comment below!

1. Gourmet Coffee

As surprising as it may sound, considering that caffeine is a stimulant and cannabis depressant and hallucinogenic qualities, these two actually work very well together. Studies show CBD and caffeine have some synergistic effects when taken together; caffeine can prevent some of the memory loss that is said to be induced by CBD, and likewise, CBD counteracts the anxiety and jitters that often come along with drinking coffee.

CBD and caffeine are also both strong antioxidants, so in this aspect, they’re working together to protect our cells from damage and aging. It’s become a very common combination. So popular in fact, that now you can buy CBD-infused coffee from multiple different companies such as Sträva and Steep Fuze.

2. Transdermal Patches

Undoubtedly you’ve heard of nicotine patches, but have you ever seen a CBD patch? They’re not made to help people quit smoking, rather a way to receive fast-acting and extremely accurate doses of cannabidiol.

It’s also pretty convenient that once the patch is on, you don’t have to worry about remembering to take your next dose. There are also THC patches available, although CBD is more frequently used.

3. Sublingual Strips

Sublingual CBD strips are amazing! Edibles can take up to a few hours to be fully absorbed by the liver and vaping – although a very fast and efficient method – isn’t very discreet. Sometimes you need some fast-acting CBD while you’re in public, like on a plane or in a mall, and that’s where sublingual strips are the perfect choice.

It can be taken either by drops or spray and it’s considered the best way to consume cannabis. There are many small blood vessels (capillaries) under the tongue that allow for substances to be absorbed directly into the blood stream, so the effects of sublingual CBD are typically felt within minutes.

4. Healthy Dark Chocolate

We already know cannabidiol is healthy, and we also know that chocolate is healthy, but did you know the two can now be combined? Research indicates that chocolate can help boost heart health and prevent stroke.

Most interestingly though, chocolate has very strong anti-inflammatory properties, just like CBD. When used together (like in a CBD-infused chocolate bar), the risk of cardiovascular disease can decrease over time.

5. CBD Nebulizers

Introducing the cleanest way to consume cannabis, even safer than vaporizing. Nebulizers use compressed air instead of heat to create mist that’s inhaled by the patient. No heat means no carcinogens!

These are still very new in the cannabis world, but they’ve been used to administer medications in hospitals and clinics for a long time. Certain medical centers in Israel have already begun using CBD nebulizers, however.

Of course, there are many more amazing CBD products on the market, but there are a few of our favorites. As with any medical products, make sure to speak to your doctor about the implications of changing your routine.
