CBD and Sexual Performance

Problems in the bedroom? There are a lot of reasons why things can go wrong, but CBD might just be the answer to get things going again in the sack!

Question:  How does CBD improve overall sexual performance in the male and female?

Answer:   CBD activates the serotonin receptors, thereby acting as a natural anti-depressant.  CBD decreases anxiety by decreasing the degradation of anandamide, the “bliss” hormone.

CBD decreases the “worry” factor that may be associated with adequate sexual performance.

The result is less tension, restlessness, and an improved ability to experience the “moment” of sexual intimacy.

With the elimination of this emotional barrier, one is better able to relax and enjoy the flush of “tingling” emotions experienced with orgasm.

Question:  Why not use THC instead of CBD for the purposes of intimacy?

Answer:   While THC can help a person to relax, in some, it actually decreases one’s ability to sexually perform.  Why? Because THC decreases the sympathetic tone of the penile vessels, thus making an erection difficult to obtain and maintain.

Question:  Can CBD help with premature ejaculation?

Answer:  Yes. Premature ejaculation is when ejaculation occurs before successful and complete penetration.  CBD reduces the “performance caused anxiety” which is the major cause of premature ejaculation.  The anxiolytic effects of CBD allows the erection to be maintained for a longer length of time, thus allowing for successful penetration and a better “timed” ejaculation.

Take-home point:  CBD reduces the psychological tension of what should otherwise be a most positive union between two people, and thus CBD can improve the physical, mental, and emotional experience.

Delivery system:   The best delivery would be one that is medium to fast-acting and taken prior to sexual intimacy.  Recommended would be vape CBD flowers, vape CBD oil, smoke CBD flowers, spray, or tincture.
