Popular events which attracts thousands of people and some of the world’s leading cannabis lights are in the hands of new owners.
Cannabis Europa and European Cannabis Week have become a key feature of the continent’s cannabis industry, with the former having now branched out into North America.
The events were initially formed as a partnership between Hanway Associates subsidiary HAPP Holdings and Prohibition Partners. But Prohibition Partners, a subsidiary of the NOBL Group, has now bought out its Joint Venture partner, it reports in a press release.
‘Huge Impact On Industry’
Stephen Murphy, Founder and CEO of NOBL, said: “Cannabis Europa is a unique and highly important conference series built for the cannabis industry. We are delighted to complete the acquisition and fully integrate this into our portfolio, supercharging our mission to open up, demystify and facilitate access to this exciting industry.”
Just a few weeks ago NOBL itself was spun out of fast-growing data and intelligence company European Cannabis Holdings, and had initially been known ECH Data & Media.
A NOBL press release says that Rachel Jones, formerly of the Financial Times has been appointed Managing Director and Cannabis Europa Co-Founder Alastair Moore will continue as Creative Director.
He said the platform the partners have built over the last two years has ‘had a huge impact on the industry’ creating a ‘forum for discussion, debate and opportunity-sharing around the burgeoning cannabis industry’

He added: “I’m incredibly proud of Cannabis Europa and looking forward to working further with the team at NOBL, who have been invaluable long-term partners. They are perfectly positioned for rapid global expansion of the platform.”
As well as Cannabis Europa and European Cannabis Week NOBL has two other businesses; Prohibition Partners, a provider of provider of cannabis intelligence and market research and intelligence database for the cannabis industry Atalis.
NOBL itself is one of two divisions of European Cannabis Holdings with the second – ECH Medical – focussing on medical cannabis. ECH Medical, itself, includes four divisions; The Academy of Medical Cannabis, The Medical Cannabis Clinics, Dispensary Green and Astral Health.
