While millions of people across the globe suffer from allergies and rashes, many don’t get the relief they need from prescription creams and topicals, and some have nasty side effects. Could CBD be the answer for dealing with annoying rashes once and for all?
Question: I have had the shingles rash on & off for the last two years. Can CBD help?
Shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox. The virus in some cases, lodges itself in nerve endings in the spinal column. During times of physical or psychological stress, the virus reactivates and produces a rash on the skin. Shingles causes immense pain and blisters. Because the source of it is a virus located in a nerve ending, it is, neuropathic pain.
CBD is excellent treatment for neuropathic pain. CBD can decrease the pain. CBD can decrease the inflammation (blistering). CBD can also decrease the duration of the shingles. However, CBD cannot “kill” the virus that resides in the spinal nerve. There is no known agent capable of doing that.
You can use CBD balm and apply it directly to the shingles rash. As an alternative, you can also use treat the shingles with tincture oils or soft-gels.
Question: I am allergic to coconut. Is the CBD you supply safe for me to take?
There are no traces of coconut in the CBD, we supply, either from Viva or Ciitech.
However, the Ciitech balm contains coconut oil.
Question: I have nut allergies. Is the CBD you supply safe for me to take?
There are no traces of nuts in the CBD tincture or Gel-caps we supply, either from Viva or Ciitech. Glycerin, which is hypoallergenic is the carrying agent in the CBD.
Question: Can CBD replace biologics or DMARDS?
CBD’s work as direct anti-inflammatories in the gastrointestinal tract. They also work as powerful analgesics. Biologics or DMARDS actually “replace” the steroids which have disastrous side effects if given for weeks or months at extremely high doses. CBD’s can REDUCE the doses of the biologicals or DMARDS needed, but it is too soon to know for sure if they can replace them. This we will know in the next few years as CBD use becomes commonly used by the healthcare profession.
