Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard of the coronavirus and you know that people are beginning to make provisions and prep for the worst.
That means they’re stocking up on household goods, medicines, food, hygiene supplies, and other products that they feel will get them through a possible quarantine for multiple weeks, be it a voluntary or mandatory one. Should you be stocking up on hemp and cannabis products?
That being said, there are quite a few cannabis products that can help get you through a longer period of being stuck in the house. We put together a short list of items that you could benefit from having on hand during these highly unpredictable times.
8 Cannabis Products to Get You Through The Times
In case you haven’t heard, now’s the time to make sure your hand washing regimen is flawless. That’s not hard to do either, just make sure you’re washing to 20 seconds, include the wrists, and use good quality soap. There are a variety of all-natural, hemp-infused soaps on the market these days. Also, hemp is has anti-microbial properties so it will kill more germs than other all-natural soaps. Bonus points if you get some good, hydrating hemp cream to put on your hands afterwards, since your hands might get a bit dry after all this extra washing.
A classic. You always want to have some good cannabis oil on hand, whether you prefer CBD (cannabidiol), THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBG (cannabigerol), etc. you can find a good quality tincture that can be mixed into many different products. Cannabis oil is extremely versatile and can be mixed with anything that has some type of fat molecule in it. Make sure to get full-spectrum, that way you can benefit from the added terpenes and flavonoids.
If you’re not sick and end up getting quarantined because of a breakout in your area, you’ll probably want to have some bomb flowers on hand just to help you relax and make the best of being stuck at home for what could end up being a long few weeks. I enjoy both the CBD and THC varieties, so I’ll definitely have a few different strains on hand, just in case. The human body is 60% percent water, so it makes sense that when we’re not feeling our best, getting hydrated can extremely helpful. When sick, drinking water can help form saliva and mucus, help regulate body temperature, flushes body waste, and helps regulate blood pressure. Numerous illnesses, including coronavirus, can cause fever and lead to dehydrations which can in turn cause you to feel terrible in many other ways. While the jury is still out on the actual benefits of CBD-infused water, there’s really no downside to drinking more water and staying hydrated.
5. CBD Tea
Hot beverages are a great way to stay healthy anytime a cold, flue, or respiratory infection is making its rounds. Tea is full of polyphenols, which are believed to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Plus, Hot liquids can relieve nasal congestion, prevent dehydration, and soothe the membranes that line your nose and throat and become inflamed if you’re coughing or sneezing a lot. Hemp or cannabis tea is a great way to get your dose of cannabinoids while benefiting from an overall healthy beverage.
6. CBD Honey
If you’re drinking tea, you’re probably putting honey in it. Why not get a double dose of cannabinoids by adding some CBD-infused honey to your cannabis tea? Honey has numerous health benefits including antibiotic and antiviral properties. It’s also a delicious sweetener that doesn’t raise your glucose levels like sugar does. Make sure to get raw, unfiltered honey so it will have all the goodness and nutrients that it honey naturally contains.
7. Raw Cannabis Juice
At its core, cannabis is an organic, leafy green veggie, meaning it’s chock full of fiber, protein, iron and fatty acids, and it can help tremendously with your daily vitamin intake. Vitamin C for immune function, vitamin K for calcium absorption, calcium for strong bones, and folate for DNA repair are just a few of the vitamins found in raw cannabis. When cannabis is heated the chemical structure of the plant compounds change and some of the medicinal properties are lost, as is the case with pretty much all vegetables. Juicing is a great way to get some extra veggies into your daily diet. If mixed with some apples or other fruit, you can have a delicious and healthy drink on your hands.
CBD softgels are one of the most convenient and easy ways to get your daily dose. Like many health supplements, it’s much easier to take a ready-to-go, measured dosage while you’re on the move. For example, ‘20mg’ per capsule. It means you can take one capsule without wasting precious time and effort on math sums at 7am before work (or whenever your preferred time of day is).
